from November, 2010 through March, 2011 and Part One
project January through October 2009 - both of which came about after a trip to Egypt in 2009. Similarities between historical pigments used in tombs and temples to that of the much later Golden Age of Dutch Art were discussed. The Part Two exhibit can be viewed onlne by Galerie Gabrie

This blog began during the creation of eleven paintings inspired by the 17th century palette of works in Rembrandt and the Golden Age of Dutch Art, an exhibition that traveled in the U.S. during 2006-07. All eleven paintings were presented as my exhibit, Lessons from the Low Countries
in Portland, Oregon, June 2007.
